During the COVID 19/Coronavirus pandemic, we are urging anyone who needs to make changes to their voter registration, register to vote or needs absentee assistance to please visit the Department of Elections Website at www.elections.virginia.gov or contact our office at 804-966-9699 or the office cell phone number 804-263-3247.

The Voter Registration and Elections Office is committed to providing each citizen of New Kent County with the opportunity to exercise his or her right to vote in an efficient and equitable manner in accordance with federal and state election laws.

The New Kent County Voter Registration Office and Central Absentee Voting Precinct is located in the Health & Human Services Building at 7911 Courthouse Way . The Voter Registration Office is in Suite 400 and the CAP has been established in the large meeting room in the building.

All of New Kent County moved from the 7th Congressional District to the 1st Congressional District after January 1, 2017.

Governor Ralph Northam is exercising his statutory authority (§ 24.2-603.1 of the Code of Virginia) to move the June primary elections from June 9, 2020 to June 23, 2020. See the full release here.
